AFL CAREER NOTES
• Played two seasons (2006-07) in the AFL with the Grand Rapids Rampage.
• Started Grand Rapids’ final 11 games of 2007 at center.
• Took part in seven of the Rampage’s final eight games in 2006, starting once against the New York Dragons on April 1.
• Originally signed with the Georgia Force in October 2005.

• Spent time with the Denver Broncos in 2005. 
• Was on the practice squad of the Washington Redskins in 2003 and 2004. 
• Allocated to the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europa in 2004-05 by the Redskins.
• Played six games with Frankfurt in 2005, starting at center in the team’s first five contests.
• In 2004 with the Galaxy, played in 11 games for the top-ranked rushing offense in NFL Europa and helped lead the team to a World Bowl berth.
• Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Francisco 49ers in 2003. 

COLLEGE/PERSONAL NOTES
• Started 33 games over four-year career (1999-2002) at Auburn University. 
• All-Southeastern Conference First Team selection by the Associated Press and SEC coaches.
• Started all 11 games as a senior and was rated one of the top 12 centers in the nation by The Sporting News.
• Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll as a junior in 2001 and a senior in 2002. 
• As a sophomore in 2000, played in 12 games, starting 10, and was named most improved lineman by coaching staff after spring drills.
• Three-year starter at tackle and guard at Nease (Fla.) High School.
• Named Florida Times-Union Top 10 Scholastic Athlete and ESPN’s Scholastic Sports America  student of the week. 
• Outstanding wrestler, posting a 34-4 career record and winning regional championship as a senior in 1999.
• Also participated in track, winning regional championships in shot put and discus.
• Earned master’s degree in industrial design from Auburn.
• Married to Hillary Nowland.
